MULTIPLAYER PARTY TRIVIA

How to play Think and Dare

Think and Dare turns one shared screen into the game board while each player uses a phone as a private controller. For the web launch, the host runs the shared game on a PC, laptop, or tablet, and players join from a browser without installing a separate player app.

1. Start the online game on the shared screen

Open Think and Dare on a PC, laptop, or tablet that everyone can see, then choose Host a Game. The web launch uses online hosting, so the room is created through Think and Dare's secure multiplayer service.

The shared screen handles the room, questions, scoreboards, Game Director announcements, Dare moments, and the final leaderboard while each player uses a phone for private choices and answers.

2. Invite the players

The game creates a room code and QR code. Players scan the QR code or enter the room code, then choose the display name they want the group to see.

The first player to complete name sign-in becomes the controller for the pregame flow. Other players wait in the lobby until the controller confirms everyone is in.

3. Choose a trivia pack

Think and Dare includes broad free trivia packs plus optional Premium Classic and Signature collections. Groups can choose familiar categories such as General Knowledge, Movies & TV, Music, Sports, History, Geography, Science & Nature, and Food & Drink, then explore specialty collections when they want a different kind of showdown.

4. Choose your risk before the question

Before each standard question, the chooser selects a difficulty. Easy is safer, Moderate raises the stakes, and Difficult puts the most points on the line. The game always presents four answer choices.

EASY+2 correct · −1 wrong
MODERATE+6 correct · −3 wrong
DIFFICULT+10 correct · −5 wrong

5. You get one Dare Token — choose the moment

Every player starts with one Dare Token. Spending it challenges another player and can trigger a high-stakes Dare Rush worth up to 100 points. Dare wins and Dare losses are tracked for the final brag sheet.

Strategy matters: you might not want to use your Dare in Round 1. You only get one, so saving it until closer to the end of the 15 rounds can give you a chance to completely change the scoreboard when the pressure is highest.

🔥 Use it now to grab momentum — or hold it for the late-game comeback. The choice is yours.

6. Watch the scoring multipliers climb

A full game uses 15 rounds, and standard question scoring gets more valuable as the finish approaches. That gives players behind on the leaderboard a real chance to make a late move.

ROUNDS 1–81×STANDARD POINTS
ROUNDS 9–121.5×STAKES RISE
ROUNDS 13–142×DOUBLE POINTS
ROUND 153×FINAL DARE

Because the later rounds are worth more and every player has only one Dare Token, a well-timed late Dare can turn a close game upside down. The leader still has to defend the top spot all the way through Round 15.
