ONE SCREEN FOR THE ROOM · ONE PHONE PER PLAYER

A friends trivia night built around the people in the room

Trivia with friends works best when the game leaves room for conversation, confidence, bad guesses, comebacks, and the kind of bragging rights that last longer than the final question. Think and Dare puts the public game on one shared screen and gives each player private phone controls, so everyone follows the same moment without passing one device around.

Start without assigning somebody to be the quizmaster

The host opens the game, players scan a QR code or enter the room code, and the software handles questions, scoring, timing, reveals, and the leaderboard. That lets the person who suggested trivia actually play instead of spending the night reading cards and checking everyone's math.

Switch categories when the group changes its mind

Friends rarely have identical interests. One player may dominate Sports, another Music, another Movies and TV, and somebody else suddenly becomes dangerous in Food and Drink or Geography. Think and Dare's pack structure lets the group choose a different category for the next game instead of forcing every session into one subject.

Risk choices give the room something to talk about

Before the standard question appears, the chooser decides between Easy, Moderate, and Difficult. That creates a visible decision before anyone knows whether the topic will be a strength. A leader can play safer, a trailing player can swing for more points, and everybody else gets to react when confidence turns out to be justified—or completely misplaced.

How a Think and Dare round works

The chooser selects difficulty before the question appears. Easy is worth +2 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong answer, Moderate is +6 and −3, and Difficult is +10 and −5 before later-round multipliers. Every standard question gives four answer choices.

The shared screen carries the public game while player phones handle private answers and player-specific choices. A full game uses 15 rounds, and later rounds increase the stakes so the final stretch can still change the leaderboard.

EASY+2 correct · −1 wrong
MODERATE+6 correct · −3 wrong
DIFFICULT+10 correct · −5 wrong
